Should we use torrents?!

Ok I don't like where this thread is going, just try to shortly say what you think without trying to convince others of your point of view.

I don't usually participate in these but no, I'm just a sucker for girl farts. I have spent a good amount of money on them already, but also downloaded many many more then I paid for. I'll just use my bakery example again. If it gets robbed 4 times a day, and the robbers each take a bread, then that's an acceptable loss, the bakery will still be making money. If they come in and take every bread there is, the bakery won't make any more money and will go bankrupt. There is no reason you guys should be arguing it is simple, and I don't think onlycash gets it. Sharing hundreds of clips from one site just is not fair. Like I said before torrents should be for files that are too large to upload onto Rapidshare and Megaupload (FTC videos are a good example). I think Gassy and the staff should make sure that a fair amount of sharing takes place, and not too much out of respect for the stores we get them from. Remember if it wasn't for them we'd have nothing to share, so let's try to be fair about this. Torrents are a double edged sword. We should only use them when extremely necessary.

good to hear a hear your opion your bakery example makes more sense lol except were not really stealing them it's more like someone guys bread from a store and gives it out to a large crowd so they don't have to. hmm ooo beter example someone buys the recipe for somethin lets say the Coca Cola formula and they decide to share it then it spreads around and Coca Cola loses buisness because everyone knows how they make and can do it the same maybe even beter. I think i hit the nail on the head with this one i feel proud

Though I don't think that people should people should torrent a whole sites worth of stuff, this will help keep the sites from removing the stuff and it will help keep people form having to "reup" every couple of hours or days.

Torrents can easily have viruses in them... but so can any download you have. As long as you understand torrents, you'll be fine.

For small links (1 or 2 clips), they should just be downloadable. For larger or more clips (10ish or more), torrents are the way to go.

I think we should allow torrents, but not necessarily switch over to them as the new mandatory way to share files. This is a SHARING VOLUNTEER forum, lets let the posters choose which way they want to share their material. Each person who wants to share with the board can do so in whatever way they deem is best. Its that simple. Y'all should stop squabbling right now about opinionated bullshet like who's way is better and all this pushing and shoving new ways upon the forum members, its all relative, and most of it is opinion. Let it be.

really dont recommend it. its too easy for someone to upload a virus and label it as "sexy fart porn" or something as a joke. its not like we get much good representation on popular places like youtube.
I know I used to upload mislabeled videos to Kazaa back in the day for a joke, I dont doubt others would do the same with torrents.
