Honestly I think it was also because New Orleans was full of poor disadvantaged people. Probably a mixture of both race and class discrimination IMO.

This isn't about a mouse being killed. It's about the mindset of a person who would put a live mouse in her mouth and chew it and swallow it. I would guess that's what happens in the video as I haven't seen it, but it's what people seem to be saying. In my opinion it sounds like she needed serious mental help rather than being thrown into prison, but there you go. But it's not about a mouse being killed or we'd be putting cats away too, it's about somebody getting PLEASURE from causing harm and ultimately death to another living thing.
Meanwhile, could this thread please be moved to the extreme board? If this doesn't qualify I don't know what does.
